An increase to 200,000 Pakistani Haj pilgrims from 180,000 last year is expected during the Haj 2013, according Pakistan Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah.
Ahmed Shah made the announcement late Saturday after meeting with Saudi Haj Minister Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Hajar earlier in the day. A final decision will be made Wednesday.
The main and important target of the meeting was to discuss the enhancement of Haj services and facilities for the pilgrims when the agreement will be signed on Wednesday. “Pakistan was the first country with whom Saudi Haj ministry started the discussions for improvement of services and facilities for Haj 2013,” said Ahmed Shah.
