RIYADH: Henkel Arabia, manufacturer and producer of home detergent and disinfectant, donated SR400,000 to the Insan Charity Committee for Orphan’s Care, in Riyadh on Sunday.

Memosh Khawajah, general manager of Henkel presented the check to Dr. Homoud Al-Badr, secretary-general of Insan, at the Al-Khozama Hotel here.

“The donation was collected during a DAC promotion during last Ramadan,” Khawajah told reporters here.

During the campaign, he said, DAC marked its participating disinfectant packs by placing a red cap on them to give consumers the chance to participate in the campaign. “I would like to thank all the directors of Insan, headed by Riyadh Gov. Prince Salman, who is also the chairman of the charity committee, for his efforts to support and reinforce acts of charity in the Kingdom,” he said, pointing that this step stems from Henkel’s belief in the importance of supporting communities where the company works.
