JEDDAH: An Asian housemaid was arrested for serving tea with traces of dead rat to her sponsor’s son recently, Al-Madinah daily reported on Tuesday. The youth was admitted to hospital for severe stomach pains and food poisoning, leading detectives to examine food and drink he had recently consumed. They then made the grisly discovery. The maid confessed to the crime after being arrested, although her motive is not yet clear.
