MADINAH, 9 March 2004 — The Ministry of Health is enforcing segregation of men and women at medical seminars and lectures after reports that doctors and other hospital staff were mixing freely on such occasions. The decision came after it was noticed that managers of hospital were not paying attention to this problem. The ministry has also warned nurses working in private hospitals to wear “proper clothing” and refrain from wearing too much makeup.
