MAKKAH, 21 March 2005 — A fight between an old fruit seller and a burly Arab woman over the price of guava turned nasty the other day, Okaz reported. The woman turned physical and took off one of her shoes to hit the old man, but he managed to dodge the blow and take the shoe from her and throw it away. She then took off the other shoe to hit him again when her husband arrived and threw the shoe away and dragged her barefoot to the street. He went back to the old man and apologized for his wife’s violent behavior. The old man laughed it off saying it was the first time in his many years in the fruit market that he was attacked by a woman over pricing.
