RIYADH: Refrigeration, heating, construction, and defense sectors will be the focus of attention of three Saudi business trade missions consisting of leading Saudi companies in those fields.
They are being sponsored by the US Commercial Service in Riyadh.
They will arrive in the US later this week to explore new business opportunities and strengthen trade relations between two countries whose bilateral trade was estimated at $59.6 billion last year.
While in the US, one of the Saudi delegations will participate in the annual American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Conference. It will also be briefed on the latest technological developments in this sector.
In addition, the delegation members will meet with key business representatives and potential business partners at this annual event.
The second Saudi delegation will meet with US companies at the World of Concrete trade show, the industry’s only annual international event dedicated to the commercial concrete and masonry construction industries.
The third delegation will attend the annual Shot Show, the world's largest trade show and conference for professionals involved in shooting sports, hunting, and law enforcement.
Referring to the visit, Minister Counselor at the US Embassy in Riyadh Amer Kayani said: "These trade missions will provide an excellent opportunity for Saudi companies to learn about and meet with US firms.
“Specialists in our offices in the US will introduce Saudi companies to key decision makers in some of the leading American companies to help facilitate mutually beneficial business deals. We have a proven track record in our partnerships with Saudi companies, and we seek to expand our trade relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to include diverse sectors in the economy," Kayani said.
