59 percent of Israeli teens don’t want Arab students in their class

RAMALLAH: Two-thirds of Israeli teens say that Arab students living in Israel do not enjoy equal rights in schools, according to a study.

The survey, prepared for the “Education in the Digital Age” conference in the northern city of Haifa on Monday, also revealed that 59 percent of teens aged 15 to 18 believe that Arab students should not have equal rights in schools.

According to the survey, 96 percent of respondents want Israel to be a Jewish and democratic state.

However, 27 percent believe that those who object to government policies should be tried in court, while 41 percent support stripping them of their citizenship.

Just under a third said they would not be willing to learn in a classroom with one or more students with special needs. This number increased to a half when the same question was asked regarding Arab students. In addition, 23 percent said that they wouldn’t want gays or lesbians in their class.

The poll also revealed that 40 percent of Jewish youth have never been a part of a youth group, while 45 percent have never volunteered in any capacity.

With regards to serving in the Israeli army, 83 percent said that they don’t doubt that they will serve, but about a half said that they have friends that do not plan on enlisting.

More than half of the survey’s respondents said that they did not want to serve in the combat units of the army.

In response to a question of whether they would serve in the territories or not, 24 percent said they would refuse, 47 percent said that they would not, while the remainder were undecided.

The survey was conducted by Professor Camil Fuchs from the Statistics Department of Tel Aviv University in cooperation with the company Sample Project. Five hundred people between the ages of 15 and 18 were surveyed.

Very interesting.. lets see the contrast: what percentage of Saudi teens do not want jews in their class? what percentage of Saudi's teens do not want jews in their country? What percentage of Saudi teens do not want jews anywehre in the world? And how about those who are not teens? any difference? Thought so...

Daniel,
That doesn't even make sense because how many Jews live in Saudi? Saudis are not Occupiers of another peoples land. They didn't go in and steal what was not theirs to take. Jews are the most selfish self centered people in the world. You wand democracy and then say you want to only give rights to the jews and nobody else. Democracy is for everyone not just who you choose. The sooner the Jews and the rest of the world wakes up to what the jews are doing, the better. They are bringing up their children to be hateful ignorant adults. What do they have against special needs students? Reminds me of Nazi thinking really. One day the Palistinians will have their day and then the Jews will no longer be able to pretend to be victims in their own occupied land. Shame on them.

Racism, discrimination and hate is inbred into their young ones. Globally students of that age don't care who they sit with in a class, as they know their sole purpose is to learn. But then we are not talking about any country here, we are talking about the biggest terrorist nation on the planet with Zionist ideology, which is injected into the minds of young ones from God knows what age. With all this happening they question Hitlers's actions. Hitler had read there evil nature and long term plans before the world woke up to it.

Linda and Rizwan, I couldn't agree with you more. I am afraid the situation is even worse. The zionists have brought in a lot of Russians,.the same who devastated the motherland of our Chechen brothers. I have heard that the Russians are more likely to live in settlements and are very aggressive, and also completely ignorant in the history of the Middle East. They don't know anything about the Palestinian rights, about the beauty of Islam, and they don't want to learn. And now the zionist minister Barak went to Russia and signed a military agreement with Putin. They intend to cooperate in weapons production. I am horrified to think what the next war with the zionists may bring. May Allah (swt) help our brothers in Palestine.

To Daniel,
If the Zionist Jews treat to the people who are living in occupied land and Israel as human and equal rights , you will properly see what you said in KSA too.
Definitely no Jews are allowed in the Holy Land. It's only for those who believe in Allah, the Last Messenger(PBUH) and Last revelation Quran from Allah.
Please read the Quran which is translate by Islamic scholar not by hypocrite non-Muslim who make Fitna around the world with hate mongering and fear mongering among people .
