The monthly salaries of the house servants being recruited by the newly established International Recruitment Company (IRC) will range between SR 1,300-SR 1,800, local business daily Al-Eqtisadiah reported Wednesday quoting chairman of the company’s founding committee Nasser Abu Sarhad.
He said the company would either recruit foreign manpower from abroad or hire staff already living in the Kingdom. “Recruitment from abroad may take between two to three months while hiring them locally will not take 30 minutes,” he added.
Abu Sarhad said under the hiring system, the beneficiaries would not pay any charges to the recruitment companies for obtaining a foreign worker but they would only have to pay the monthly salary of their employee to the company. “The companies will bear the costs of medical insurance for the foreign workers, ensure a substitute in case they escape or refuse to work and pay the iqama renewal fees,” he said.
The IRC recently received the go ahead for its establishment from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and is expected to start functioning in the next few weeks after the final approval of the Ministry of Labor.
The Abha-based company will have a capital of SR 100 million and will have two branches in each of the Kingdom’s 13 regions.
He said the company will import workers from all countries that are allowed to export manpower to the Kingdom and added that the company would provide the workers with accommodation and sustenance.
