Macy’s to launch a clothing line geared toward Muslims

NEW YORK: Macy’s is launching a women’s clothing line aimed at Muslim shoppers.
The department store chain says it teamed up with a boutique called Verona Collection and plans to sell the collection of modest dresses, tops, cardigans and hijabs online. The clothing will launch on Macy’s website on Feb. 15.
The brand was developed by Lisa Vogl, a graduate of Macy’s minority- and women-owned business development program, which aims to offer more fashion diversity.
While Macy’s is the first major US department store to sell hijabs, it joins other brands offering products aimed at Muslims. Nike, for example, launched a high-performance hijab last year made for athletics. And Mattel announced plans for a doll modeled after IbtiHajj Muhammad, an American fencer who competed in the Olympics while wearing a hijab.

  • The prices are very reasonable, and the company also offers gift boxes

In a crowded marketplace where truly original fragrances are rare, Deem Perfume Library earns points for originality.
Within classy bottles and simple packaging you will find unusual fragrances with names such as “Arabic coffee,” “baby powder” and “cigar.” For the less adventurous, the extensive range includes more traditional options such as lavender, musk and oud, all made with specially selected, high-quality European ingredients.
Deem is an online store which also produces home fragrances. The “Garden” scent, for example, brings the sweet smell of freshly cut grass and morning dew into your home.
The prices are very reasonable, and the company also offers gift boxes containing your choice of perfume, a fragrance guide and a large selection of samples, all packed in a personalized box.
