June 5 – The Nation report by Abrar Saeed states that All Pakistan Muslim League chief Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf has finally decided to return to the country before the upcoming general election scheduled on July 25. The decision was taken at the party’s core committee meeting held in Dubai where after threadbare discussion on all the aspects of Gen(retd) Musharraf’s return including the pending cases against him in the courts and its impact, it was finally decided that party chief would land back in the country before the general election.
