Saudi cultural attache in London meets British education companies

  • Meetings held with representatives of British education companies who provide educational services and support to Saudi students on scholarships at UK universities.
  • A new strategy will focus on partnership deals with educational, training and research institutes in Britain to assist scholarship programs, training and scientific research in the Kingdom.

Riyadh: The cultural attache at the Saudi Embassy in London held meetings with British education companies tasked with providing educational services and support to Saudi students on scholarships at UK universities.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Mugaishi headed the meetings which discussed the attache’s new strategy for academic partnerships, research and the future of bilateral cooperation with educational, training and scientific research centers in Britain.

Al-Mugaishi outlined, during the meeting, future plans for the provision of educational services to Saudi students.

This new strategy will focus on the partnership deals with educational, training and research institutes in Britain that assist scholarship programs, training and scientific research in the Kingdom. It will work to implement their initiatives and to transfer their knowledge and expertise to support human resources in the Kingdom.

The step is in line with the vision of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, which has been commemorated with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between British Prime Minister Theresa May and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during the latter’s recent visit to the UK.

Saudi Arabia gears up for live music festival during E-Prix race

  • International and Arab musicians are set to perform

DUBAI: Saudi Arabia will be hosting a three-day music festival during the Saudia Ad Diriyah E-Prix in December.

International and Arab musicians are set to perform for fans to celebrate the first staging of the Formula E race.

The event will be held at the UNESCO heritage site of Ad Diriyah where six major artists will be performing each night from December 13, 14 and after the race itself on December 15.

“The ‘Saudia’ Ad Diriyah E-Prix is set to be the hottest ticket in town for so many reasons, from breath-taking electric racing, to entertainment, to culture. Soon everyone will find out who is coming, and we can promise a festival of music that offers fans, friends and families an unmissable experience,” Vice-Chair of the Saudi Arabia General Sports Authority, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal, said.

“We suggest fans avoid the rush by getting your ticket now to avoid disappointment after the names are released,” he added.
