Saudi logistics and transportation company Bahri has won the Best Recruitment & Talent Management Strategy award at the inaugural CIPD Middle East People Awards held on April 11 at Grosvenor House Hotel in Dubai.
Hisham Alkhaldi, chief support officer of Bahri, accepted the award during a ceremony hosted by CIPD, a London-headquartered professional body for HR and people development. The awards recognized individuals, teams and organizations for their outstanding achievements in people management and development.
“Bahri has been actively pursuing its ambitious business strategy to grow and diversify its business and expand its local and global market footprint. With people being central to the realization of these objectives, we have sharpened our focus on investing in our human capital,” said Alkhaldi.
“It is our vision to create a strategy and an integrated system for attracting, sourcing, managing, developing and retaining talent, and provide a structured approach, supported by our HR digitization initiatives, to capitalize on human capital potential that led to the establishment of our Talent Management Framework. This framework has remained key in developing and sustaining an agile, motivated and dedicated workforce that possesses the right skills and knowledge to steer Bahri in a dynamic and competitive environment both locally and internationally,” he added.
An independent panel of HR professionals and CIPD subject matter experts chose Bahri for the award, which was presented by Peter Cheese, CEO of CIPD.
