A student graduates from college and then begins a long hunt for some kind of job.  Even if he is lucky enough to find a government job, his monthly salary will not be more than SR5,000. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

After graduation, young men find themselves listening to the imam  on integration of the family. This is one reason why we have  such a disturbingly high rate of divorce in our society. There are many charitable societies which do commendable jobs and facilitate marriages by helping the youth with loans and donations. Some have to rent a house and pay a minimum of SR15,000 for one year’s rent, SR3,600 annually for electricity, SR400 each month for car installments — not to mention the money spent on hiring a maid, paying the debts incurred as a result of the marriage itself, the telephone bill, food bills and a long list of requirements of his wife and children. All these expenses have to be met out of that small income.

If the youth is of the type who aspires to lead an glamorous life driving a luxury car and living like a rich man, he will be disappointed, finding himself earning this meager monthly wage. He may  then turn to the banks which make loans and may even commit criminal acts such as bribery and embezzlement.  The result is imminent collapse of the marriage and disintegration of the family. This is one reason why we have a such a disturbingly high rate of divorce in our society.

There are many charitable societies which do commendable jobs and facilitate marriages by helping the youth with loans and donations. Some people cite reasons other than economic ones which they say cause marriages to fail - social reasons for which the home, the school and society itself are to blame as well as some causes we never heard of even imagined.
