MULTAN, 13 May— Police on Friday arrested Mukhtar Hashmi, brother of acting chief of Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League, Javed Hashmi, his nephew and some other people for staging a demonstration. Mukhtar was sent to jail and would be produced before an anti-terrorism court on May 18. Javed Hashmi protested the arrest of his nephew Ziaul Mustafa and brother Mukhtar. He said that police misbehaved with women during the raid. Hashmi said 26 of his relatives had been granted bail by a division bench of the Lahore High Court.
