Student counseling cell set up

JEDDAH, 14 January — The Education Department in Riyadh has set up a counseling unit to help students who suffer from behavioral problems and learning difficulties, said Saad ibn Abdul Aziz Al-Oqail, director of student affairs at the department. The unit will analyze individual cases and help the students overcome their difficulties, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported yesterday. In the case of serious conditions, which the center cannot handle, it will instruct school authorities and parents about specialist centers where expert counseling services and treatment are available.
