JEDDAH, 14 September — Al-Hilal Club of Riyadh strengthened its scope for reaching the final of Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Cup as it trounced Al-Qadsiyah (3-2) in their Division A match in the capital on Thursday.
Hilal striker Badr Al-Kharrashi scored the winning goal for his team in the injury time after the two teams were level throughout the game.
Kharrashi opened the scoring for Hilal in the 9th minute of the game. Khaled Aziz scored the second goal in the 57th minute. Saeed Al-Wadaani (59th) and Hani Al-Salem (69th) scored the goals for Qadsiyah.
In another Division A match of the tournament held in Dammam, Al-Ittefaq drew with Al-Riyadh (1-1) in a stunning encounter. Riyadh was leading the game with a lone goal scored by Walid Al-Rubaiaan in the 67th minute. Ittefaq players toiled hard to gain the equalizer and succeeded in the 84th minute through Saleh Basheer.
Al-Shabab topped the list of Division A with 13 points, followed by Ittefaq on nine points and Al-Qadsiyah also on nine points.
