Two Killed, Five Injured in Yemen Tribal Clashes

SANAA, 21 June 2003 — Clashes broke out between two tribes in northern Yemen this week, leaving two people dead and five injured.

The Al-Radhi and Jaamal tribes in the northern province of Hagga began fighting Sunday over a piece of land that both claimed to own. The two dead were members of the Jaamal tribe, witnesses said. Four others from the Al-Radhi tribe were injured, with some in serious condition.
