JEDDAH: Malarvadi Balasangam in Jeddah's South Zone recently held a series of cultural and educational contests for school children as part of a children's art festival. Competitions were held in song, poem recitation, painting, drawing, crayon, memory test, speech, mono act and fancy dress.
Students who won the first three positions in the zonal level contests, that were held last Friday, were given attractive prizes. Paul Joy, principal of Open School at International Indian School, Jeddah inaugurated the festivities which was supervised by C.K. Mohammed Najeeb.
"In the preliminary stages of the contests 433 boys and girls from different areas took part and 194 emerged as winners," said Najmuddin, the chief coordinator.
