JEDDAH: The Women’s Committee of the International Holy Qur’an Memorization Organization will hold its annual ceremony at Malikat Allail Hall on Madinah Road on Tuesday. Princess Abta bint Muqrin will attend the event, which includes a variety of cultural programs.
“Our committee conducts many activities every year to raise funds for Qur’an study centers,” said the committee’s chairperson. “It is a good opportunity to highlight the organization’s activities around the world.”
This year’s ceremony will focus on the Indian subcontinent. A documentary will be shown illustrating the spread of Islam on the subcontinent, methods applied to memorize the Qur’an, Muslim customs and traditions, and famous mosques and universities as well as notable Islamic scholars from the region.
A charitable bazaar will be held as part of the event. An active worker in the field of Qur’an memorization will be honored.
