Hospitals to work during Eid break

JEDDAH: All government hospitals in Jeddah will remain open around the clock during the last 10 days of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr holidays to treat local and expatriate patients, according to the director of the local Health Affairs Department.

According to Dr. Sami bin Muhammad Badawood, 90 staff members from his department will work to keep hospitals running efficiently.
“The Health Affairs Department will deploy all its available medical and technical staff to work in all sections during the entire Eid period to provide the best services to residents and visitors,” he said, disclosing his plans for the holiday period.
Badawood said all the government hospitals have put potential medical, technical and administrative cover on call for the remaining days of Ramadan and the Eid holidays.
Assistant director for elementary health care Dr. Nuha Dashash said a number of health centers in Jeddah would remain open from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. to support government hospitals.
