'Ayoun Jeddah' gets approval

JEDDAH: The Ministry of Social Affairs has approved the establishment of a new welfare society in Jeddah to support the poor and needy residents.

Abdullah Al-Tawi, director of social affairs in Makkah province, said the new organization would be called “Ayoun Jeddah.”
He said the society would hold a meeting on Tuesday to select its board of directors from 33 founding members. Al-Tawi said Makkah province has 137 societies providing support for poor people, orphans and widows in the region.
Founding member of Ayoun Jeddah, Fad Al-Ghaith, said the society would adopt new methods of delivering assistance to all poor and needy families in the city.
