The smart electricity, smart grid and smart metering conference will take place from Nov. 21 to 23.
Claudio Lima, chief technology officer (CTO) for Smart Grid solutions at Huawei Enterprise, global markets, will address the challenges utility companies face in his presentation on Smart Grid ICT Trends. “The Middle East has some unique energy requirements and challenges,” said Claudio Lima.
Huawei Enterprise Business will demonstrate its Smart Grid Solution at Smart Electricity World MENA 2011. Visitors to the booth can see how the Huawei Smart Grid Solution operates in different virtual scenarios.
Huawei experts will be on hand to discuss how smart grid solutions can be applied to the energy challenges facing providers in the Middle East.
“The population is growing, and people own more electrical devices. Consumers and businesses want to consume less power and need an electricity model better suited to their individual needs. For all these reasons, and more, we’re increasingly seeing governments and utility providers looking for a smarter approach to managing energy consumption,” he said.
