11.6% of Saudis unemployed

RIYADH: The unemployment rate of Saudis, aged 15 or above, is 11.6 percent, slightly more than the rate of the second half of 2015 which was 11.5 percent. The General Authority for Statistics published on its website the results of the survey of the workforce which shows a rise in the number of Saudi workforce to 5,661,554. The survey shows that most Saudi workforce is in the 20-39 age bracket, about 65 percent, of which 36 percent hold bachelor degrees or their equivalent.
The highest percentage of unemployed among Saudis in terms of level of education is among holders of the bachelor degree, at 54 percent.

Saudi foreign minister pledges ‘comprehensive investigation’ of Khashoggi killing

JAKARTA: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir said on Tuesday the kingdom was committed to a “comprehensive investigation” of the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey.
Saudi Arabia had sent a team to Turkey and all those responsible for the journalist’s death would be detained, the minister told a news conference in Indonesia.
