Fight against corruption stepped up

Commerce and Industry Minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah yesterday emphasized his ministry’s efforts to fight corruption. He said the e-government system has been found as an effective tool in combating graft.
The minister made this comment during his meeting with Muhammad Al-Sharief, president of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, in Riyadh. Al-Rabiah emphasized the need for regulating the business sector and protecting consumers. Al-Sharief discussed with the minister the measures taken by the commission to ensure transparency.
