King orders appointment, promotion of 96 members at BIPP

RIYADH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has issued an order appointing and promoting 96 members at the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution (BIPP) at various ranks.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Fahd Al Abdullah, BIPP president, expressed thanks to the king and the Saudi leadership for their continuing support to the bureau.
In a related development, the Ministry of Justice has given licenses to 108 new male and female lawyers to practice the profession throughout the Kingdom.
The new licenses brought the number of authorized male and female lawyers to 3,256, of which 3,199 were male lawyers, a report released by the ministry said.
The ministry rejected 12 applications to practice the legal profession, the report said.

Sharm El-Sheikh main road named after King Salman

SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt: The main road in the Egyptian Red Sea resort town of Sharm El-Sheikh has been named after King Salman, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

Maj. Gen. Khaled Fouda, governor of South Sinai, made the announcement during a ceremony to mark the 37th anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day.

Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Egypt Osama Nugali, who is also the Kingdom’s permanent representative to the Arab League, participated in the event.

Nugali thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for bestowing the honor on King Salman.
