440 students undergo anti-extremism training

RIYADH: King Khaled University (KKU) in Abha is the latest education institution that has completed anti-extremism training for students.
A total of 440 higher education students participated in the program under the aegis of Abha Gov. Prince Faisal bin Khaled. The event was organized by KKU in collaboration with the King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue.
Ismail Al-Omari, the head of KKU’s training and dialogue academy said Taibah University in Al-Madinah had run a pilot course recently. The two-day session in Abha included discussions on how to deal with purveyors of extremism on the Internet.
Students were informed about how extremism germinates and develops. There was also a short film competition held.
