MAKKAH: More than two million Muslims attended Khatm Al-Qur'an (end of the Qur'an recitation) prayers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah on Tuesday. Sheikh Abdul Rahman Sudais, who led the prayers, urged Muslims to stand united and return to the Qur'an and Sunnah.
The Grand Mosque in Makkah overflowed with worshippers who also came to perform Umrah, attend Taraweeh and Qiyamullail prayers. Thousands were standing in the courtyards around the mosque as well as streets leading to it to attend the prayer.

Report abuseThe scenery of the faithful attending prayers in the Haram, making the tawaf round the Kaâ™abah are among those things that make the adversaries or enemies of Islam and Muslims too jealous! Where on earth, and which other religion apart from Islam can pull such an amazing crowd of men and women, the visible and invisible beings, people from different races together speaking same language in dua and recitation of the Quran. Alhamdullah that we are endlessly blessed in this religion with unique rituals! Praise to Allah and appreciation to the Kingdomâ™s leadership for magnificent services in services of the Holy site and the Muslims!!
