Saudi-Syrian joint forum meeting today

RIYADH: Saudi Finance Minister Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf is scheduled to meet with Syrian Finance Minister Muhammad Al-Hussein on Saturday in Damascus.
The Saudi delegation includes Yousef bin Ibrahim Al-Bassam, vice chairman and managing director of Saudi Fund for Development, Saleh bin Manie Al-Khilaiwi, director general of customs, as well as a number of senior officials, businessmen and investors.
The two-day meet will bring together business executives from both countries.
The forum is being organized with the help of the Syrian Investment Authority and the Saudi Embassy in Damascus. Al-Hussein said in a statement that the meetings would enable participants from both parties to discuss aspects of investment opportunities available in the two countries, from the perspective of both governmental and private sector.
The forum will also include an in-depth dialogue between senior officials and businessmen in both countries as well as a presentation of the successful experiences of Saudi investments in Syria.
