Oman striker Imad Al-Hosni, one of four import players of Al-Ahli, is keeping his options open and has not renewed his contract with the Jeddah-based club.
Al-Hosni told Arab News in an interview yesterday that while it was his desire to remain with Ahli there are other teams in the Gulf interested in his services.
“All options are open as I am now concentrated in fulfilling commitments with the club in the ongoing Asian Champions League and the King’s Cup,” he said while expressing happiness over his professional experience in the Kingdom.
“It is exciting to experience the love of the club’s fans. I am also fully satisfied while continuing as part of the team,” he said.
Of Ahli’s chances in the Asian Champions League, Al-Hosni said: “As players, we will try our best and pray to God we’d be able give a good result.”
The Brazilian duo of Victor Simoes amd Camacho and Colombian Balomino are the other import players at Ahli, which qualified for the King’s Cup final after beating Al-Hilal in the two-leg semifinal series and will face either Fateh or Al-Nasr for the title.
