Kudos to the Blues

Bander Alhamad The King’s Cup semifinal cast was completed yesterday as Al-Ittifaq met Fateh in their second league match in Ahsa. The first league ended 2-1 in favor of Fateh. The winner yesterday will met Al-Nasr who pulled a big surprise by beating the league champion Al-Shabab in both matches 2-1 each for a 4-2 aggregate score. This brings about another question..what happened to Shabab? Did the challenge end for them after they clinched the league title? Could the players be worn out after the long season? Now, Nasr will have to meet an easier opponent in either Ittifaq or Fateh. Fateh is a more possible opponent since they won the first leg which took place in Dammam, home of Ittifaq. But Nasr must not rely on that because every match can bring about different surprises. Moving on to King’s Cup, what seems to be a pre final is Al-Hilal going against Al-Ahli. The first leg will take place in Riyadh, home of the Blues. And we are five days away from that very important match. Speaking of Hilal, I would like to congratulate them for winning the match against Bayrouzi in Tehran. I believe that to be a tougher match. Playing in front of 100,000 supporters of your opposing team in their homecourt could not have been easy. Kudos to the Blues for bringing honor to our country!
