A training expert has given a series of recommendations to initiators of small and medium enterprises (SME) on how to expand their projects, realize profits and avert losses.
Mohamed Al-Darani, member of Saudi Management Association (SMA), in a lecture at Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) said the success of any project is based on five elements: Intellectual, communication, administrative, career, and technical skills.
The lecture on “Skills of career success in SME,” organized by the SME development committee at RCCI, dealt with other related skills such as education, IT and the Internet, time and pressures management, honesty, patience, innovation, and responsibility.
He called on young businessmen to pursue education, continuous training, promote skills, determine goals and priorities, avoid laxity, and join scientific and professional societies which are providing practical experiences for them.
He also reaffirmed SMA’s keen interest to strengthen aspects of cooperation with RCCI so as to boost management development programs for SME owners.
Khalaf Al-Shammari, head of RCCI’s SME development committee, referred to the role of SMA and said the committee has been searching for the best means to establish SME projects on sustainable basis and protecting them from any possible losses.
