This refers to the letter “India-Pakistan clash by Sushrut Patil. In his letter, Patil tried to accuse the Pakistani forces of killing Indian soldiers who were trying to cross the Pakistani border. It is quite bewildering to know that what is acceptable to the Indians is their own action against Pakistan but if the same action is taken by the Pakistanis, it is completely not acceptable to them.
Pakistani soldiers are not like the Indian soldiers.
I believe that it is Indian soldiers who beheaded their fellow colleagues to defame Pakistan and its forces. Can anyone believe that any country would be that naïve to hand over mutilated bodies to their enemies? It would rather never admit of killing in the first place.
In fact Patil seems to be ignorant of the fact that who invaded and divided the territories of Pakistan in 1971. During their invasion, the Indian forces killed thousands of innocent people and put the blame on the Pakistani forces. Whatever was happing in Eastern Pakistan, it was the country’s internal matter that did not call for foreign intervention.
If it is true that Pakistani soldiers have invaded the territories in Kashmir then why doesn’t India provide the people of Kashmir a choice to decide for their future — self-determination — as it was promised by Jawaharlal Nehru in the UN.
Indians keep shouting and referring to a single terror act of Mumbai but what about India’s involvement in terrorist acts inside and outside of Pakistani territories. — Khan Changez Khan, Riyadh
