More than 25,000 Saudis and expatriates attended various events at the ongoing Youth Forum at the Alkhobar Corniche. The forum opened on Wednesday.
At the “The Guests of the Kingdom” pavilion, there were many expatriates from different countries. They explored the history of Saudi Arabia, its culture and the ongoing modernization of its many cities.
Twenty-eight expatriates reverted to Islam on the first day of the forum, sending cheer among the attendees and the invitees.
Jumaah Al-Rumaihi, general supervisor of the forum and the office of the call and guidance (Hidaya Office), said: “We have received many expatriates and Saudis in our tent … Since we opened our office some years ago, our scholars have helped convince 5,000 people to revert to Islam.”
The forum has included seminars and a variety of interesting courses geared to attract children and their parents. “Programs which are included during the forum are: training courses, Islamic lectures, sporting events, stage shows, heritage shows and quiz competitions,” said Al-Rumaihi.
Some prominent scholars delivered lectures on different topics for youngsters advising them to be straight and to fear Allah, to respect people and to follow Islam.
