42nd National day of Oman 
celebrated with zeal

The 42nd Omani national day was celebrated with much jubilation at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Jeddah in the presence of the guest of honor Ambassador Mohammad Ahmed Al-Tayeb, director general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Omani Consul General Juma Mubark Al-Rashed, diplomats, and a number of Saudi nationals.
Al-Rashed welcomed the guests and thanked them for their presence on the occasion. He expressed his gratitude to Allah and congratulated the Kingdom’s nationals for the successful surgery of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah, wishing him good health always.
“This is a memorable day and occasion for Oman and its citizens. Since Oman marked its revitalization in 1970, we have taken great strides towards developing our nation under the supervision of Sultan Qaboos bin Said. We pray for his long life and health, and thank the Kingdom for its support, solidarity and friendship. I would also like to extend a special congratulatory message to the Omani youth, we still have much hard work to do for the prosperity and stability of our beloved nation,” Al-Rashed.
Al-Rashd also expressed his appreciation to Al-Tayeb, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their continuous support, and presented Al-Tayeb with a Omani dagger, as a token of friendship.
“This is a happy occasion to celebrate our friendship and prosperity, as well as the progress and development our nations have achieved,” said Al-Tayeb
Saudi poet, Khaled Eidhah Al-Harthy recited a poem on the occasion.
