King Salman International Airport
Now under construction, King Salman International Airport (KSIA) in Riyadh is envisioned to become one of the world's largest and most sustainable airports, covering an area of approximately 57 square kilometers. It will have six parallel runways including the existing terminals of King Khalid International Airport (KKIA). Once completed, the project, backed by the Kingdom's Public Investment Fund, is expected to accommodate up to 120 million travelers by 2030 and 185 million travelers by 2050.
Who is Kariman Abuljadayel?
Kariman Abuljadayel was a contestant in the 100-meter sprint event in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, becoming the first Saudi woman athlete to compete in that category. In 2019, she and fellow athletes set up the Saudi Rowing Federation, now in the thick of preparations to compete in the 2024 Games in Paris. Apart from spending time on the water, Abuljadayel also serves as an adviser for the development of a world-class sports ecosystem in NEOM. Just recently, she gave an interview with Arab News' The Mayman Show.
