Adel Al-Turaifi appointed deputy editor in chief of Asharq Al-Awsat

Adel Al-Turaifi, editor in chief of Al-Majalla weekly, has been appointed deputy editor in chief of Asharq Al-Awsat Arabic daily, a sister publication of Arab News.
Prince Faisal bin Salman, chairman of Saudi Research & Marketing Group, made the appointment after the group’s board of directors approved it.
“Al-Turaifi will continue in his position as editor in chief of Al-Majalla,” the prince said in a statement. Al-Turaifi, who holds a master’s degree in international relations, recently completed his doctoral studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science in the same subject.
