Al-Amoudi jubilant as Nexen Tyre stays in global limelight

Nexen Tyre Corporation has won a number of awards in 2012, notably the Red Dot Design Award, one of the top three design awards in the world. Also, The Nexen’s N8000 was commended by the sport scars section of Auto Bild, which gave the recommended grade in performance under wet conditions.
N9000 is proven by its latest win as the Red Dot Design Award 2012, which is widely known as one of the world’s top three global design accolades. The award dates back to 1955 and is now one of the world’s largest and most distinguished design competitions held by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany.
The N8000 got a good score in the dry assessment. This means that tires from the Korean production were convincing, especially in the safety related fields. The braking characteristics of the Nexen N8000 could certainly keep up with the premium brands.
Nexen Tyre Corporation won 8 international awards in 2011 and 4 international awards in 2012. The total awards so far are more than 25. Abdullateef Al-Amoudi, CEO at Al-Amoudi Holdings Company, said: “In my last visit to Nexen’s factory in Korea I realized how deeply the attention is given to provide highest quality products, and I was amazed by the technological development as well as the manufacturing and production mechanism.”
He added: “Nexen has become a great competitor for international companies and I expected a huge success, especially after opening new production factory in Korea in order to meet the needs of consumers around the world.”
