Al Mostaqbal, Muhaidib, Marhaba beat rivals in JBL

Al Mostaqbal Hospital of Jack Esquerdo beat Awdah 66-63 in the JBL Basketball Tournament at Bin Mafouz court on Tahlia St., Al Andalus District here.
Al Mostaqbal played good team work in the crucial seconds of the game to beat the top seeded Awdah. Roland Bertolano had 24 points for Mostaqbal Hospital and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Elmer Sanchez contributed 15 points for Awdah.

Al Muhaidib of Robert De Guzman defeated NCB Quick Pay 72-61. Al Muhaidib managed to convert its perimeter jumpers in the dying minutes. NCB Quick Pay committed crucial turnovers in the final quarter. Pablo Viscayno top-scored with 20 points for Al Muhaidib and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Tocama had 25 points for NCB Quick Pay.
Uptown 966 of Halim Mezher blasted Barangay Fame 66-35. Uptown 966 control the shaded area in the whole game. Barangay Fame tried to fight back in the first half even lack of big players. Magat led the Uptown 966 with 19 points and was adjudged as the Saudi Signs best player of the game while Aro scored 19 points for Barangay Fame.
In Friday’s JDC Inter-Color, Sabr Brothers Yellow of Rasheed Suyat defeated Salam Brother White 74-60. Sabr Brothers played running game to tear down the defense of Salam Brothers in the fourth quarter. Jameel Khobre had 27 points for Sabr Brothers and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Ali bdullah and Abu Mushab scored 13 points apiece for Salam Brothers.
SBG Sparks of Gerry Careon beat UDG 75-71 in overtime. SBG Sparks went to the open man for its offense in the overtime period. UDG missed important basket in the dying seconds. Marcial Lozano top-scored with 28 points SBG Sparks and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Mico Lico scored 31 big points for Urban Design Group.
Saudia Avaition of Andrew Masongsong beat AVK Wild Boys 60-48. Saudia Aviation kept its composure in the final quarter as AVK Wild Boys AVK started to lose steam. Dexter Flora scored 14 points for Saudia Aviation and was adjudged as theGiordano best player of the game while Jolli Tilo led Wild Boys with 12 points
Marhaba of Dennis beat Saudi Diyar 42-41. It was a ding dong battle in the whole game. Saudi Diyar missed their winning shot as Marhaba applied man-to-man defense with 7 seconds remaining. Small but terrible Cabalu led Marhaba with 19 points and was adjudged as the Arab News best player of the game while Boy Manila had 11 points for Saudi Diyar.
