Alesayi Electronics launched an anti-obesity campaign in cooperation with International Medical Center on Tuesday. The participation is an integral part of the awareness program initiated by Alesayi aimed at tackling the health challenges of the Saudi community.
Khalid Al-Madni, consultant nutritionist and deputy head of the Saudi Society of Food and Nutrition at MOH, joined forces with Alesayi to spread awareness of diabetes and obesity, which have been spreading like epidemic in the Arab World.
A roundtable was organized by Tefal-Alesayi where Al-Madani gave an interactive lecture on obesity and diabetes along with various risk factors involved with obesity.
Al-Madani said: "The aim of anti-obesity education is to motivate the mass to want to live a long, healthy life with as many options available to them as possible, unhindered by the medical and physical constraints that come with being obese. Building on the recent statistics, Saudi Arabia has the highest number of diabetic population and obesity also forms a relevant percentage and the major cure for this starts from your plate which should have healthy servings, this is the lifestyle changes that we talk about."
