Dirab Golf & Country Club does its part in the celebration of the country’s 82nd national day when it hosts the Almarai-Saudi National Day Golf Tournament tomorrow.
The tournament is the first major event taking place at the parkland course after the summer break and has attracted a full field of 120 players vying for handsome prizes and raffle items.
As well as the large group of golf communities in the city Saudis, led by Saudi national team coach and veteran player Ali Balhareth, are participating in the two-ball Texas Scramble format competition that will have a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.
This is the third straight year Almarai Company supported the event, which Dirab first staged six years ago, as the title sponsor.

Meantime, Dirab will host the Saudi leg of the MENA Tour Oct. 7 to 10.
With a total prize pot money of $ 50,000, the event dubbed American Express Dirab Golf Championship is the first-ever professional golf tournament to be hosted by the premier golf club in the Kingdom.
This American Express-sponsored competition comes on the heels of the MENA Tour Abu Dhabi leg set for Sept. 30 to Oct. 3 at Saadiyat Golf Club.
