Alstom secures Growth Strategy Excellence award

Alstom has been honored with an award for “Growth Strategy Excellence” in recognition of its outstanding achievements in the field of air quality control systems (AQCS) at the 2012 Middle East Environment Industry Meet held in the United Arab Emirates.
Hosted by leading market analysts Frost & Sullivan (F&S), the ceremony featured nine award categories. Award winners were chosen following detailed market research undertaken by F&S experts, who examined industries working in air pollution control, solid waste management and water and wastewater services across the rapidly developing Middle East.
“It is a great privilege for Alstom to receive this honor from F&S,” said Sylvain Hijazi, Alstom’s UAE Country President. “At Alstom we pride ourselves on working closely with our customers to meet their needs and deliver the cleanest power and industrial solutions. That is particularly true here in the Middle East, where over many years we have developed local partnerships to assist in the economic growth of the region whilst also raising environmental standards.”
Alstom, which boasts the biggest installed base in air pollution control globally, with more than 400GW in power applications and 2,500 gas cleaning industrial units, has worked extensively for both the power generation and aluminum industries on AQCS projects throughout the Arabian Peninsula.
