ANB receives award for Business Continuity Management practices

Arab National Bank (ANB) has been awarded the BS 25999 certificate for its Business Continuity Management practices. The certification was awarded to ANB by British Standards Institution (BSI), which is the UK's national standards body responsible for producing and publishing standards and issuing accreditation certificates.
Obaid A. Alrasheed, head of retail and private bank at ANB, said: “This distinction confirms ANB's commitment to implement world-class standards and distinguished operational performance to provide customers with the best products and services. As part of its strategy to enhance Business Continuity capabilities, ANB has invested earlier in establishing the Business Continuity Center (BCC), which is custom designed to provide full service alternate workspace recovery facilities and services.”
Abdulrahman Alonaizan, head of Business Continuity Management, said: “This prestigious certification is a result of great efforts exerted by the bank to establish a Business Continuity framework that includes policy and procedures, Business Impact Analysis and Business continuity plans as per international standards.”
Over the past few years, ANB has received a number of recognitions in (BCM) practices, including — but not limited to — an award from the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) UK for establishing the Business Continuity Center, “Business Continuity Manager of the Year” award from the Continuity, Insurance and Resilience Magazine, UK and the “Group Excellence in Business Continuity” award from BCP Asia, Singapore.
