Asif, Imran sparkle in RCA Shehriyar Mirza Memorial Tourney

Sparkling 107 by Asif Tawqeer for Lahore Badshah and Imran Younes belligerent 101 for Riyadh Fighters were the highlights in the ongoing RCA’s Shehriyar Mirza Memorial Tourney in Riyadh.
In super league match at RCA-4, in a high scoring match Lahore Badshah aided by all round performance from Asif Tawqeer (107 12x 4’s, 6x6’s, 4-52), Adeel’s (69 not out), Malik Fahad fine (56) and late burst by Akram (41) scored facile 3 wickets over Fuchs. Earlier winning the toss and elected to bat first Fuchs scored 350 runs in their allotted over. Asif Tawqeer (4/72), Malik Fahad (3/70) and Atif (2/64) were the most successful bowlers for Lahore Badshah.
In Premier League-1 match at RCA-2 ground Imran Younes brilliant 101 could not prevent Riyadh Fighters losing the match to Al-Hamra by 13 runs. Winning the toss and electing to bat first Al-Hamra scored 202 in their allotted overs. Mubashir Malik (53), Zahid Mir (61) and Majid Khan (38) were the main scorers for Al Hamra. Nusrat bowled well for Riyadh Fighters and took 2 wickets conceding 28 runs. Chasing 202 runs to win Riyadh Fighters were bundled out for 189.
Imran Younes scored brilliant (101) and was well supported by Imran Butt (44). In another low scoring match Knight Riders scored emphatic seven-wicket victory over KFSH Green at KFSH ground. After winning the toss and electing to bat first KFSH Green were shot out for partly 64 runs with Mubashir taking 3 wickets conceding 15 runs while Aman, Abdul Rahman & Ahamedullah bagging 2 wickets each conceding 10, 15 and 24 runs respectively. Chasing a low score Knight Riders romped home in 6 over’s losing 3 wickets. Hassan (29) and Karim (21) batted well for Knight Riders.
In premier League-2 match, Riyadh Warriors scored an easy 5 wicket victory over Kashmir XI. Batting first Kashmir XI scored 138 all out. Abdul Rahim (3-25) and Majid (2-19) were amongst the wickets for Riyadh Warriors. In reply Abdul Azeez’s (62), Abdul Gaffoor (21) and Sameer (23) runs guided Riyadh Warriors to 142 for 3 in 15 over’s. In another match, Green Bangla scored 69 runs win over Imran XI at RCA-3 ground. Electing to bat first after winning the toss Green Bangla scored 195 for 3 in their allotted over. Kakon Khan (60) top-scored for Green Bangla and was well supported by Rafiq Ul Islam (32) Sohail Chaudhry (27) and Jakir Hossain (47). In reply Shahjahan (4/21) and Al Ameen (3/25) restricted Imran XI to 126 for 8 in their allotted over and guided Green Bangla to victory.
In Thursday league match at RCA-3 ground Al-Jomaih Shell scored an exciting one run victory over Pak Sonic. Batting first Pak Sonic scored 205 in their allotted over. In reply AlJomaih Shell aided by Naseer (46), Sameer (37), Aslam Mir Khan (25) Parvez (22) and Ayyaz (20) romped home losing 6 wickets. In another match Pak Shaheen got the better of Al-Jomaih Shell by 42 runs. Electing to bat first Pak-Shaheen scored 232. In reply Al-Jomaih Shell 190 all out. Aslam Mir Khan (45) top-scored while Asif Khan (42) and Imran (39) batted well and contributed to Al-Jomaih Shell total.
