AVK Wild Boys of Jolly Tilo defeated SBG Sparks 79-70 in the JBL tournament at Bin Mafouz court on Tahlia St., Al Andalus District here.
AVK’s running game tore down the defense of SBG Sparks, as Jolly Tilo fired three consecutives three-point shot in the final quarter. Boyce top-scored with 18 points for AVK Wild Boys and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game while Marcial Lozano had 14 points for SBG Sparks.

NCB Quick Pay of Mario Calderon beat Al Mostaqbal 61-56. It was a sorry loss for Al Mostaqbal with a crucial back-to-back errors handing NCB Quick Pay its first win in two outings. Elmer Geniza scored 21 points for NCB Quick Pay and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Mico Lico chipped in 16 points for Al Mustaqba Hospital.
Almabani of Vic Carreon defeated Uptown 966 61-56. Almabani contained the last offensive plays of Uptown 966 for its second win in three games. Uptown lost control in the third quarter.
Caguioa led Almabani with 13 points and was adjudged as the Saudi Signs best player of the game while Saldua scored 19 points for Uptown 966.
JDC Red of Mahmoud Quidlat beat JDC White 56-48. JDC Red displayed medium range jumpers while JDC White slowed down due to tiredness in the final quarter.
Canoy scored 15 points for JDC Red and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Dawood Antonio led JDC White Salam Brothers with 13 points.
Thursday, ALJ Used Cars of Ronald Uranza defeated IDB 76-61. ALJ Used Cars played running game to breach the IDB defensive wall in fourth quarter. IDB lost t steam in the crucial minutes of the game.
Kelvin Ray LLamado scored 22 points for ALJ Used Cars and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Malabed top-scored with 19 points for IDB.
El Khereji Knights of Allan Macalinao beat Safari 72-60. El Khereji’s outside snipping was unstoppable in the whole game. Safari missed important baskets in the dying minutes.
ALJ Central Purchasing of Noel Sun scored a 61-44 win over Saudia Aviation. ALJ Purchasing played good offense in the whole game. Saudia Aviation played without ball handler in the first half of the game. Rasheed Mohammed had 9 points for ALJ Purchasing and was adjudged as the Arab News best player of the game while Flora had 18 points for Saudia Aviation.
Awdah of Rey Magat defeated Al Muhaidib 70-65. A crucial turnover from Al Muhaidib gave Awdah its second win. Awdah looked for the open man for its offensive plays.
