The ragtag team Ayaw Na bowled with much gusto and reigned during Week 3 of the Unified Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (UFTBR)-Etihad Airways Tuesday Bowling League at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC).
The reluctant team totally outbowled Pin Hitters 21-6 and captured the Team of the Week award. Joel Lambo led the team with a series of 920 and was ably supported by Benny Mondoy (879), Jojo Miraflor (834), Rizal Dellosa (632), Mar Queyquep (454) and Ely Fanugao (344).
In other matches, Habagat downed Yaris X 16-10, Lane Cruisers cruised past Saco Bolts 16-10, NBA topped Vinnell Saudi Arabia 18-13, Mandirigma outgunned Pin Hitters 15-8 , Unica won over Thrill Seekers 19-4) and SABB Advance upset Majestic 19-10.
To round out the top five in the team standings, Unica leads with 58 points, followed by NBA (57), SABB Advance (55), Ayaw Na (53) and Habagat (46).
Lambo bagged the Bowler of the Week Award along with neophyte bowler Irene Tumolva with a series of 750. Ronald Bautista regained the lead in the Group 1 MVP race with an average of 231.17 followed by Arnold Jesena (227.0) and Ernee Noto (223.38). In the Group 2 MVP race Shawn Rickets still leads with an average of 192.83 followed by Fathi Abdulaziz (192.0) and Jojo Gabriel (189.58).
Adding excitement to the event are the surprise gifts to bowlers and spectators being provided by the league main sponsor, Etihad Airways, the national airline of UAE and one of the fastest growing airlines in the world.
Etihad will also donate three return air tickets to Manila as major prizes for excellent performers in the league.
The league organizers are composed of Cesar De Mesa, Armin Isles, Dennis Durens, Ian Choco, Ruby Urrutia, Jim Dela Rosa, Art Palustre, Pau Feria, Torres and Noto.
