Bahrain Air has signed an agreement with Mobily to offer co-branded SIM cards to pilgrims on flights to Jeddah.
Bahrain Air flight attendants will distribute the cards, following an in-flight announcement.
A press release said Bahrain Air and Mobily are showing their support to Haj pilgrims by offering these SIM cards on approximately 15 flights operating from different cities in the world.
The SIM cards will be equipped with pre-paid credit for travelers to call their families and inform them of their safe arrival into the Kingdom.
Nasser K. Al-Kharouf, vice-president-channel sales of Mobily, said: “Our agreement with Bahrain Air carries a main objective making the journey of the pilgrims an unmatchable experience.”
He added: “We are committed not only to extend the best technologies, Internet services and telecommunication network, but also to secure the widest spread throughout all Land, Sea & Airports in addition to Mosques, Mena, Arafat & Other Religious Sites in the Holy Cities across the Kingdom in order to service pilgrims during their Unique Spiritual Experience”
Riyadh Al-Ansari, catering and in-flight standard officer of Bahrain Air, said: “We are glad and honored to serve the pilgrims in cooperation with Mobily. Our main aim from this partnership is to deliver the comfort and High standard services to pilgrims who are going to be traveling with Bahrain Air from different destinations to King Abdul Aziz International Airport at Jeddah. During the flight, our cabin crew will make an announcement to our valuable passengers to inform them about offering Mobily SIM cards.”
Al-Ansari added: “We would like to thank Mobily for their cooperation with Bahrain Air and hope our passengers will enjoy the service quality extended by both leading enterprises in the region and wishing them a blessed and safe Haj season.”
