UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has congratulated Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and Crown Prince Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, on the occasion of the 82nd Saudi National Day.
“King Abdullah is an important partner to the United Nations in all regional and international challenges. I wish him and the people of the Kingdom greater progress and prosperity,” Ban said while speaking at a National Day celebration organized in New York on Tuesday.
Saudi permanent representative to the UN Abdullah Al-Muallami and Saudi Consul General in New York Azzam Al-Gain organized the event, in which members of the diplomatic corps and businessmen attended, the Saudi Press Agency reported yesterday.
