The Deanship of Studies Agency for Student Affairs in Dammam University will organize a breast cancer awareness campaign tomorrow and on Wednesday at the university hall, targeting 4,000 female students.
Vice Manager Summer Barayan said the campaign happens to be at the same time as the “Eastern Rosy” campaign, organized for the fourth year in a row by the Saudi Cancer Association with the cooperation of King Fahad Hospital in Alkhobar. One of the campaign programs will present previous breast cancer experiences and how early screening helped the patients in discovering the disease, titled “Self-examination saves your life.”
The university will display students’ work during the campaign, and present an awareness lecture about cancer through food prevention titled “Fight breast cancer through diet.” There will also be contests and a demonstration of self-examination with the help of specialized doctors.
