Brothers 4 Ever champ at Faris Trading Bowling League

Brothers 4 Ever denied Cee Bee Aviation what could have been a storybook run to the title to win the championship crown in the Faris Trading Monday Night Bowling League 15th Season at Jeddah Lanes in Mossadia Plaza here.
Brothers 4 Ever stopped Cee Bee in the decisive winner-take-all game that was set up after Cee Bee beat the eventual champion in the first of two matches in the stepladder finale.
As the No. 1 team in the eliminations Brothers carried a twice-to-beat edge into the final round, with Farisbowling.com and Global D’ Barkads earning the two other outright berths for the finals.
Cee Bee came back from as far down as ninth, next to last in the team standings during the eliminations, to contend in the five-man league event.
Along with Al-Mottawer Engineering and Jeddah Lanes Cee Bee advanced to the championship round matches as the highest three teams after the three-game repechage among the seven teams that missed the cut for the three waiting finalists.
During the two-game series with handicap shootout with Mottawer and Jeddah Lanes Cee Bee returned the winning total of 2,085 with Jeddah Lanes on 1,938 and Mottawer on 1,895.
Next up for Cee Bee was the second match of the championship round against No. 3 Global D’ Barkads. It ended like the first match and Cee Bee on top 1,055 to 961.
Cee Bee then earned a shot at top finalist Brothers 4 Ever by taking out No. 2 Farisbowing.com 1,081-1,066 behind the 200 games from Edward Manuzo 240, Oca Bernabe 239 and Johndy Cantara 227.
The stage was set for the championship matchup between Brothers 4 Ever and Cee Bee.
Riding the momentum of a three-match winning streak Cee Bee beat Brothers 1,047-932 with Goying Salazar making up for a poor Cantara game of 165 with a 242 to go with the 222 by Manuzo, 200 by Bernabe and 185 by Pancho Cuevas.
Despite the defeat Brothers still had one last chance to win the title and they made sure it was not wasted by beating Cee Bee 1,034-984 thanks to solid games from Osama Fatani 224, Ahmed Triganu 212, Bader Banjar 202, Zaki Yassin 191 and Mohammad Garout 181.
Cee Bee drew final game contributions of 207 from Bernabe, 211 from Darwin Tumandao, a pair of 180s from Cuevas and Manuzo and 173 from Salazar.
Meantime, league organizer said the 16th Season of this Monday Night league event will start tomorrow.
