JEDDAH: Butler thrived well even without a coach and remained the only team without a defeat as it trounced Rio-Tayar 81-73 in the 2012 Perfetto Basketball Tournament organized by Industrial Sports Association (ISA) at Industrial City Dawa Office (ICDO) court in Industrial City Phase I.
In the early first quarter, both teams really played well when they ended with 15 points apiece but in the second canto Butler played aggressive basketball to take a hairline lead before the first half ended, 28-27.
In the third quarter, the Double G twin tower combination led the way for Butler, Dondon Guanzon scoring 28 big points and Greason rebounding and swatting the ball against the big guys of Rio-Tayar for them to have a big lead, 61-45.
The twin tower of Rio-Tayar (Valle and Villalon) rallied together with the MVP Batioco who scored heavy, but Guanzon made an adjustment, going for higher percentage shots while Greason guarded the painted area along with Dela Paz, who added 14 points and made an impact especially in creating openings for his teammates. Guanzon finished with a career-high 50 points to become the Best Player of the game.
Muhammad and Tawzea Water never gave struggling Almadouie a chance leading all the way to an 81-73 victory.
Muhammad showed his vast arsenal to score 32 points and become the Best Player of the game.

He got support from Bien who scored 7 of his 9 points in the period. Punay scored 23 points while Bagangcoy had 16 points in a losing effort for Almajdouie.
